this palm tree grew in my balcony when i was in delhi, now outside my bedroom here. the picture was taken in delhi though.

i stood by my car and took this one. this was inside the sundar nursery in new delhi...and at the time of taking this picture i had gone to take grass for sowing in my own garden.

once upon a time i lived in this house in delhi. from the balcony i had this view! almost doesnt look like delhi. due to this park outside our house (not my current house, but the house of my birth and where the parents still live) the real estate prices have really gone up. however due to that park alone...i left the house...but that is another story. for now, you see in this picture, me in the summer of 2007, the bird water bowl, the flowers on my bonsai bougainvilla, my palm as well as the lush greenery of the trees of the park outside.

fruits and vegetables

here is mom holding her favourite brinjal/aubergines/eggplants in her hands, standing by the banane trees on the north western corner of the house. that was then...for now the vegetables are over and i decided to move the banana grove to outside the house, where everyone who passes by can see their tropical foliage. guruji also told me it is auspicious to see a banana tree on your way out.

tori

when we moved into this house, i saw this flower growing. i did not do anything with it, but took a picture-even when the fruit came, we didn't pluck it. so here's the tori flower for you.

the naughty one always there, everywhere!

the humble sada-bahaar

sada-bahar (is it called periwinkle?) flowers in abundance here, on my north side of the lawn. in fact on another side too in a different colour. this picture just to mark and honor this plant, though in due course i would have to weed it out!

the lawn that is out of bounds for everyone

since we have sown the grass just recently, it requires profuse watering. and just last week we even put the FYM here- farm yard manure- which for some reason the dogs love to nibble on. automatically i have decided to disallow them from coming here. i know it is a pity but then it is needed for a few weeks now.

sowing my garden

its november now and we are starting our garden now- having moved into this house in the middle of october. for now i am concentrating on the annuals for spring, the lawn grass and thinking what all i could plant on the various sides...
